Iduna FLY is a flight preparation tool which allows a complete airplane-specific pre-flight for all supported airplanes. All calculations are based directly on the manufacturer's POH data.
You can add your specific airplane call sign, weight and moment and all calculations are done based on this input.
As a result you get a complete weight & balance profile; takeoff distances for departure, destination, and alternate; climb, cruise, and fuel data calculation. If you want, you can also create a PDF summary.
The main goal is to keep things simple. Now you can also do IFR route planning and flight plan filing with just a few clicks.
Iduna FLY is a pre-flight preparation tool which is used in addition to your flight planning tool. Optionally, IFR route planning and flight plan filing can also be done with Iduna FLY.
Most flight planning tools allow standard calculations of weight & balance and fuel. Iduna FLY allows you to define airplane profiles with all airplane-specific extra equipment that influences performance, like de-icing systems, changed takeoff/landing weights, wheel fairings, long range tanks.
Based on this it calculates the weight & balance and runways available, with current weather conditions.
We support a range of Aquila, Beechcraft, Cessna, Cirrus, Columbia, Diamond Aircraft, Falke, Grumman, Mooney, Piper, Robin, Ruschmeyer, Socata and Tecnam types. Please find the complete list here.
Based on our users feedback we have identified two different main types of pilots. The ones that fly a lot of different airplanes types, and the ones that fly the same airplane most of the time.
For the first group we have created a subscription model, which includes all airplanes, the current ones and all we add in the future. The second group can buy just the airplane types they fly with one payment.
Whichever group you belong to, you can test each airplane type for up to four weeks.
